Research a brand in depth

This guide shows how to chain LeadSponsor tools to build a complete picture of a brand — from basic profile to personalised attack angles.

The workflow

search_entities → find the brand and get its ID
get_entity → verify profile, check existing sponsors
generate_dd → deep research: leadership, financials, deals, brand image
generate_matching → scores + attack angles for your workspace
get_hot_brand_contacts → decision-makers to reach

Step-by-step

1. Find the brand

"Search for Adidas in LeadSponsor"

Uses search_entities(query="Adidas", types=["brand"]). Returns a list — pick the correct entity ID.

2. Get its profile

"Get the full profile of brand ID brand_adidas"

Uses get_entity(entity_id="brand_adidas"). Shows sponsor history, country, sector, website.

3. Generate the due diligence

"Generate a due diligence on Adidas in English"

Uses generate_dd(entity_type="brand", entity_name="Adidas", language="en").

Takes 15–30 seconds. Returns 10–12 cards:

  • Overview — founding story, headquarters, revenue scale
  • Leadership — current C-suite and board
  • Financial profile — revenue brackets, listed/private, recent funding
  • Brand image — positioning, values, campaign themes
  • Recent deals — latest sponsorships signed
  • Sponsoring history — long-term sport portfolio
  • Digital presence — social reach, top campaigns
  • Audience — core demographics
  • Competitors — main rivals in the sponsoring space

4. Generate matching scores

"Generate the matching between Adidas and my workspace"

Uses generate_matching(entity_type="brand", entity_name="Adidas").

Takes 5–15 seconds. Returns four scores (0–100) and a list of attack angles — each with a title, an opening hook, and 2–3 commercial arguments tailored to your workspace profile.

5. Get the contacts

"Who are the key contacts at Adidas for my workspace?"

Uses get_hot_brand_contacts(brand_name="Adidas").

Returns decision-makers with roles, email, phone, LinkedIn. Starred contacts are those mentioned in recent signals or identified as top priority.

Tips

  • Run generate_memory on your workspace first (with your LinkedIn URL) to improve matching accuracy.
  • Use get_brand_traffic(brand_name="Adidas", domain="adidas.com") to add web analytics context before a meeting.
  • If the brand is in your hot brands list, get_matching_cached returns instantly without a new LLM call.
